Spanish football lives a chaotic situation. The 'Fuenlabrada case’ causes every day there, As minimum, a official statement on one or more of the teams involved in the fight for promotion or permanence. The Real Zaragoza has been the last to propose a new ‘solution’ to the problem.

The Maño club considers the competition totally adulterated as it will not be able to count on its top scorer, Luis Suarez. English Watford has requested the return of the Uruguayan footballer whose contract ends on 5 of August. Thus, Real Zaragoza lose one of their best players for the promotion playoff.

Official statement from Real Zaragoza

“...This causes Real Zaragoza sports damage that cannot be repaired on the pitch, since one of his best players and top scorer, D. Luis Suarez Charris, will not be able to take part in the confrontations” of the play-offs for promotion to First Division”.

In said statement, the Aragonese club offers two alternatives. On the one hand, that the first six classified in the Second Division ascend. This would generate a league of 23 teams in First after the descents of Leganés, Mallorca and Espanyol.

For another, that the third classified is the one who achieves the last promotion place to be decided, that in this case, obviously, it would be for Real Zaragoza. The full official statement can be read here.
