Serie A bans green jerseys. The Italian championship, unveiled the kit rules for the season 2021/22 who will rule transalpine football. In the article 2 of said regulation, a most curious fact is given because it talks about the colors that the participating teams can use. The most surprising is the new rule in the first paragraph: from the course 2022/23 green color will be prohibited on the field players' jerseys.

Several reasons are put forward for this curious clause in the regulations.. One of them is television. The Italian league alludes that green as the color of the uniforms may be too similar to that of the field and may end up confusing the viewer who is watching the match on TV.. They also mention that the fans who are present in the stadium and the referees of the match, they will be able to enjoy a greater contrast between the soccer players' jerseys and the pitch.

The rule will come into force next season to give teams room for movement when designing their jerseys and change this color if it is included in their kits.. If this curious rule existed, for example, in Spanish football, teams like Real Betis should modify the main colors of their luggage, something that would not generate little controversy.
